IM&A Frequently Asked Questions
Hormone & Weight Loss FAQs
-
For medical appointments, including hormone therapy and medical weight loss, please call our office during business hours or email info@imamedspa.com, and our team will assist you with scheduling.
-
A $75 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your consultation. Once scheduled, you will receive a medical questionnaire via email. Please complete this prior to your visit.
Please bring copies of any recent lab work or email them ahead of time. If labs are not available or need to be updated, they can be drawn during your appointment.
-
Weight loss at IM&A is medically guided and individualized. We use InBody biometric analysis, a medical-grade body composition device, to evaluate:
Muscle mass
Body fat percentage
Fat-free mass
Total body water
Biometrics guide protein intake, nutrition planning, weight-loss goals, and metabolic health, ensuring patients lose fat while preserving muscle. Our focus is long-term body composition and metabolic health — not just the scale.
-
Follow-up visits are typically scheduled every 4–8 weeks, depending on your treatment plan, response to therapy, and goals. These visits allow us to monitor symptoms, labs, biometrics, and make necessary adjustments safely and effectively.
-
A comprehensive blood panel is required and should be completed at least one week prior to your hormone consultation.
Labs may be completed:
In-house at IM&A, or
Through LabCorp, if you prefer an outside location
Patients may use insurance for LabCorp testing; however, because we require very in-depth lab work, insurance does not always cover all components. IM&A offers preferred self-pay pricing to ensure labs can be completed at an affordable rate when insurance coverage is limited.
-
A hormone consultation at IM&A includes:
A complete medical history and symptom review
A focused physical exam
A comprehensive lab evaluation
Identification and correction of nutritional deficiencies
Development of a personalized hormone treatment plan
Prescriptions when appropriate
Ongoing follow-up ensures safe optimization and long-term results.
-
We accept:
